Geoff has 40 years’ experience in resolving commercial disputes and structuring agreements.

As a nationally accredited mediator and a solicitor of forty years standing Geoff is committed to the ethical standards contained in the Australian National Mediation Standards and the Law Council of Australia’s Ethical Guidelines for Mediators. Geoff is also an experienced mentor of lawyers at all levels.

Geoff played the central role in two of the largest mediations in the history of New South Wales. In both these cases the litigation involved claims for a billion dollars, multiple parties and was anticipated to last for a year. The mediations lasted for two months.

Geoff’s experience is not limited to litigation. He was CEO of a leading Sydney law firm for twelve years, a role that requires delicate negotiating skills. He has been a board member of numerous professional associations and of the Australian Vietnam Chamber of Commerce. He has structured and documented large domestic and international financing transactions. He has provided structuring advice to major partnerships and joint ventures.

In all these roles he negotiated settlements of disputes and disagreements internally and with third parties.
